Mia was adopted by a man who wanted a fiesty cat. His previous cat, who died 4 years ago, had been a very active cat up to the very end and Mr. Marks was very glad to find another cat equally as fun. We have great reports of Mia sunning herself in the windows and enjoying all the things in a home that she had never encountered before. Thank you!

We could not be happier for the little ladies and wish Milo lots of fun with his new friends.

Deeghan
"I was wondering if I could “contribute” to the Success Stories page or at least just say “Thank You” to the staff of Animal General (especially Karen) for introducing me to Deeghan (the artist formally known as Gilbert—lol!). He has been a wonderful addition to my apartment and has quickly become Pasha’s best friend. I was worried at the very beginning because Pasha was not too happy to meet him. Now, Pasha loves to chase, play, and give kisses to her pal Deeghan. He cries like crazy when she plays “hide and seek” and is relentless in finding her…..then the chase begins. LOL. Thank you so much; he’s a big loveable lug! My friend who doesn’t even like cats keeps asking if I want to part with him so she can take him home…of course the answer is a big No! LOL, he’s Pasha’s favorite Christmas present. Thank you!"
Sincerely, Jen D
And Thank You Jen, for adopting Deeghan!

She and Mr. Wilbur sleep together at night and we hear that she's the queen of the apartment with nothing to do except receive love and affection from her new friend. Thank you, Mr. Wilbur, for giving Fuzzy what will hopefully be her last home! And thank you, Ms. Galli, for providing for Fuzzy's safe future.

Pokey & Timothy!
Pokey and Timothy, 2-month old kittens.
Pokey and Timothy are native Marylanders. They were found running around in an employee's parent's backyard and we brought up here to find a safe home together. Their mother is still being taken care of in Maryland. These two love each other very dearly and cry when the other is too far away. Pokey is a little braver than her brother, but Timothy's big kitten tummy will have you picking him up all the time. Their little kitten paws are running around and helping them work up quite a ferocious appetite. Not enough sweet things can be said about this scampering pair, so please come meet them and let them win you over.
Jake!

Jake found himself a daddy who passed our windows on the way to work each day. He had finally come to terms with the passing of his former cat, and decided he was ready to open his heart and home to another feline friend. As soon as this man came in, Jake was up and in his face begging to be petted and, ultimately, to be taken home. He is doing well and finding great enjoyment is laying in the windowsills in the summer sun watching the city below.
Mr. Pumpkin!

Mr. Pumpkin is a great success! After being rescued from the streets, and found to be FIV positive, we also discovered his huge heart. All he wanted was to love and be loved all the time. He almost has the loyalty of a dog. He found his match in an elderly woman who was heartbroken over the recent death of her old cat and she simply had to fill that void. Mr. Pumpkin picked his new owner and we get almost daily reports of his and her happiness. He sits on his elderly "mother's" lap and sleeps with her through the night. He is part of our elder care program and we will welcome him with open arms if his owner ever needs our assistance.
